Civics Champion and Local Engagement

Help teachers make civics meaningful in your community

Teachers help students discover their rights, weigh evidence, and work through different points of view. You can support that learning close to home.

Through the Bill of Rights Institute’s Civics Champion program, your gift helps provide Pocket Constitutions requested by teachers in your state. You can also talk with our team about other ways to support local civic learning.

Put Founding Documents in Students’ Hands

A Pocket Constitution gives students something they can read, mark up, and return to throughout the school year. Each booklet includes the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.

Your support helps teachers bring these documents into classroom discussions about liberty, equality, rights, and self-government. Students can examine the text themselves, ask questions, and support their ideas with evidence.

A Resource Students Keep Using
“The kids have them every day. They pull them out, highlight information, and look up information.”
